Bokaro bags award for ‘Best Railway Station’

Bokaro railway station  was judged as the ‘Best Railway Station’ of South-Eastern Railway Zone for its cleanliness, hygienic conditions and running of trains around the year. Sharat Kumar Srivastava DRM at Adra presented the award in a simple ceremony on Sunday.

The DRM also felicitated PK Sinha SMR Operating, Arvind Prasad SSE (W), S Mal SSE (E), CS Gupta (M) and Uttam Kumar (CI) for their outstanding performance and contribution in maintaining station cleaned and managing their work best.

Earlier Bokaro station also received the ‘Safety Shield Award’ for safety point of view and the ‘Best Terminal Trophy’ in the Adra railway division for minimum detention of goods trains thus saving several crores of rupees of the railways by dispatching the trains loaded with goods in minimum possible time without wasting precious movements which fetched record goods to Bokaro Steel Plant during past years.

In the past Bokaro railway was also adjudged as the highest revenue gainer in Adra Railway division surpassing another record to its credit.

Bokaro railway station also received the ‘Divisional Safety Award’ for safety and its better performance in the year 2007-08.
