Troopers are weighing a DeLand man's involvement in a fiery Orange County crash that killed a motorcyclist early Monday morning, according to a press release.

Rufus Hill, a 46-year-old DeLand resident, was driving his 1998 Ford pickup west down Silver Star Road around 3:20 a.m. Monday, the Florida Highway Patrol press release states, when Hill made a left-hand turn into the path of an unidentified male who was traveling east on the same road.

After Hill's truck hit the Susuki motorcycle, Lieutenant Kim Montes states in the release, the motorcycle became completely engulfed in flames.

The crash remains under investigation at this time, Montes states, while troopers work to identify the man who died.
