Honor roll
A weekly look at this past week's top performers:
John Hawkins, Columbia boys' lacrosse: The senior attack scored five goals and added two assists in a 11-8 decision over Saratoga and tallied six goals and two assists in a 13-3 victory against Troy.
Luke Julien, Shaker boys' lacrosse: Posted two goals and four assists in a 15-2 win over Guilderland to move into second on the school's all-time scoring list with 225 points.
Liam Ferris, Bethlehem boys' lacrosse: Scored five goals in a 26-0 win against Averill Park and four goals and three assists in a 14-7 decision over Monroe-Woodbury.
Tyler Gregory, Niskayuna boys' lacrosse: Finished with three goals and seven assists in an 18-0 win over Albany.
Tessa Hughes, Bethlehem girls' lacrosse: The senior scored four goals and added two assists in a 11-6 win at Shenendehowa and tallied two goals and one assist in a 16-4 win against Averill Park.
Annabelle Conover, Niskayuna girls' lacrosse: Tallied 13 goals and four assists as the Silver Warriors posted wins over Colonie (20-4), Albany (20-1) and Shaker (18-8).
Amanda Nieman, Guilderland girls' lacrosse: Delivered four goals and one assist in a 12-8 win against Shaker and five goals and one assist in 17-2 triumph over Colonie.
Lillian Hickey, Hoosick Falls girls' lacrosse: Scored eight goals to lead the Panthers past Emma Willard 10-5.
Cole Hedden, Niskayuna baseball: Ripped a three-run double to win it in the bottom of the seventh as the Silver Warriors defeated Colonie 5-3.
Zach Goldberg, Shenendehowa baseball: Went 5-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs in a 12-11 loss against Mamaroneck.
Tylor Daley, Ichabod Crane baseball: Finished 5-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs as the Riders beat Lansingburgh 19-5.
Joe Kosowsky, Lansingburgh baseball: Launched a pair of home runs to lead the Knights past Watervliet 13-1.
Maddie Burns, Columbia softball: The senior fired a no-hitter as the Blue Devils bested Saratoga 6-1.
Myaisha Kelly, Colonie softball: The junior third baseman homered, doubled and drove in four runs in a 10-3 win against Niskayuna and homered, doubled and knocked in six runs in a 10-0 victory over Mohonasen.
Ana Gold, Ballston Spa softball: The freshman posted two home runs each in victories over Troy (10-0) and Albany (29-1).
Hannah Mosher, South Glens Falls softball: The senior catcher clubbed two home runs in a 14-6 win over Burnt Hills.
Lauren Santiago, Amsterdam girls' track: The junior standout recorded wins in the 200- and 400-meter dashes, and also ran a leg on the winning 1,600 relay team Saturday in the Warrior Classic at Niskayuna.
Gabby Stanavich, Amsterdam girls' track: Posted wins in the 100 hurdles (14.85 seconds), 400 hurdles (1:07.25) and as part of the 1,600 relay squad (4:04.43).
Alex Tudor, Shenendehowa girls' track: Finished first in the long jump (18 feet, 23/4 inches) and second in the 100 (12.67) at the Warrior Classic.
Trebor Davis, Schenectady boys' track: The junior won the 100 at the Warrior Classic in 11:31.
Jack Huber, Bethlehem boys' track: Registered a win in the 1,000 (2:02.05) at the Warrior Classic.
Matt Cavaliere, Bethlehem boys' track: Finished first in the 3,000 (8:57.85) at the Warrior Classic.
Jack Dominic, Scotia boys' track: The junior tied the meet record with a leap of 6-4 to win the high jump at the Warrior Classic.
Team of the week
Queensbury baseball: The Spartans earned victories over Johnstown (24-4), Gloversville (19-2), Scotia (10-4) and La Salle (14-4) to improve to 5-1 overall.
