All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

The West Bengal CID has arrested four persons from Mainaguri town in Jalpaiguri district for allegedly running a cricket betting racket.

A senior officer said, acting on a tip-off, CID sleuths conducted a raid at a house under the jurisdiction of Mainaguri police station and arrested these accused.

He said, during the search operation, some incriminating documents regarding betting, 10 mobile phones and cash amounting to 3,77,620 rupees were recovered.

The officer said, the accused were allegedly using a website to conduct betting in the ongoing Indian Premier League matches where people were contacted to bet.

He said, a case has been registered at Mainaguri police station and the four accused will be produced in court tomorrow with prayer for police remand.
