CHANDIGARH: While giving a major relief to the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state, the Haryana chief minister
Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday announced that
MSMEs having connected load up to 20 kilowatts (KW) would be charged at the rate of Rs 4.75 per unit instead of Rs 6.65 per unit with effect from May 1, 2018.
The difference would be transferred by the Industries Department directly into the bank account of beneficiary units through DBT.
Khattar announced this when a delegation of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) led by
Chairman,
CII, Northern Region, Sachit Jain called on him here at his residence.
Meanwhile, industries and commerce minister Vipul Goel has also thanked the chief minister for slashing the electricity rate for MSMEs having connected load upto 20 KW and said that this is a big step forward by the State Government towards promoting MSMEs in the State.
