ALIGARH: Stories of dead people returning to life are usually heard of in stories, but sometimes miracles do happen, as in the case of
Ramkishore, a resident of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, who was pronounced dead but returned to life five hours later.
Ramkishore, resident of Kirthala village under the Atrauli police station area, was declared dead some days ago. Family members, who were in mourning over his sudden death, had started preparing for his last rites. Ramkishore’s body was already placed on the pyre when he suddenly woke and started talking. Expectedly, the first reaction of the family and relatives was of confusion, which soon turned to joy.
Villagers are calling the whole incident a miracle.
“Miracle man” 53-year-old Ramkishore, meanwhile, has this to say “The gods took me with them by default, and later sent me back.”
However, doctors have dismissed the idea. Media-in-charge of the IMA, Dr. Pradeep Bansal, said "sometimes it happens that the heartbeat and breathing get too slow and the person goes into a deep coma. People assume the man is dead, when in reality he is still alive.”
Dr. Sanjay Bhargav said that without an ECG no one can be declared dead, adding it is not the first time something like this had happened.
