Three people were killed and four others injured this morning after their car hit a stationary truck here, police said.
The accident took place near Gaur Bazaar when they were returning to Varanasi after attending a function in Lucknow, they said.
The deceased were identified as Ishant Srivastava (20), Raju Srivastava (55) and Arpan Srivastava (18), Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rakesh Singh said, adding that they died on the spot.
The injured were taken to Allahabad for treatment. The bodies have been sent for post mortem, the ASP.
