Road safety awareness made popular through a walkathon

A walkathon was organised on Monday morning from KIIT campus to the driving test track at Chandrashekharpur on the occasion of 29 th National Road Safety Week. The state-level walkathon aimed at sensitising common people on road safety issues. The state's Commerce and Transport minister inaugurated the rally in the presence of local MP, MLAs, officials of the state government and dignitaries from the administration, police authorities and other stake holders. Around 2,000 participants joined the walkathon and spread the word around for road safety for all. Following the rally, other activities like autorickshaw and motorcycles were pasted with stickers consisting road safety messages and a signature campaign was held.
