A series of speakers will discuss refugees and immigrants at 2 p.m. Wednesday as part of the United Nations series.

The program will be held at 88 Main Street South in Southbury. It is hosted by Arts Escape and co-sponsored by the United Nations Association of Connecticut.

It costs $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

The keynote speakers are Rev. John Carter, an Episcopalian priest working with undocumented families in Connecticut, and Kara Hart, chairwoman of the State Advocacy Committee of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Carter founded Vecinos Seguros, an organization dedicated to protecting Latino families and individuals in northwestern Connecticut, and providing them with sanctuary and support.
