Fire crews have been called to a house fire in Taupō (file photo).

Firefighters are battling a house fire in Taupō Monday evening.
Crews were alerted to the blaze on Hinemoa Avenue about 9.15pm, Northern Fire Communications shift manager Scott Osmond said.
Four fire appliances - three from Taupō and one from Kinloch - are at the scene.
Osmond said the house fire was extensive but there were no reports of anyone injured.
It was too early to say how long it would take crews to extinguish the fire, he said.
