Bandish Mehta is GM of Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & Hyderabad International Convention Centre

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and HICC has appointed Bandish Mehta as its new General Manager. During his 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry he held multiple roles, including over 19 years with the AccorHotels Group across Asia Pacific.

Originally from Australia, he started his professional career at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, where he dedicated 10 years. He later moved to India to be with Novotel Hotels & Resorts, first as F&B director and was later promoted as director of rooms at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Center & HICC. He then ascended into the role of resident manager at Novotel Hyderabad Airport.

He was one of the first future leaders to complete International Hospitality Management Program (IHMP) by AccorHotels for Asia Pacific. Mehta was appointed GM at Mercure Lavasa & Lavasa International Convention Centre, where he not only managed the Mercure brand, but also successfully positioned Lavasa city as a MICE destination. Before joining Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC as General Manager, he was previously heading Mercure Lavasa, Lavasa International Convention Centre & Novotel Pune as the Area General Manager.

In his new leadership position, Bandish will be responsible for spearheading operations at this dual property. Through his vast knowledge and skillfulness in diverse areas of both corporate and business leisure he will be in command for accomplishing corporate objectives, developing procedures, service standards, operational policies and overseeing the property in a comprehensive effective manner. His strong team building skills, expert approach towards business development, knowledge of international standard service procedures and a resilient background in hospitality, will provide strategic and tactical depth to the hotel.
