Police to install CCTV cameras at protest site to watch protesters

To ensure peaceful protest by Para Teachers, reaching here on April 23 marching from all five divisions of Jharkhand, Ranchi Police will keep a close vigil on them by installing CCTV cameras Morhabadi, where they have decided to sit on indefinite dharna.

 In the mean time, proper deployment of forces will also be done in Ranchi during the day-long Jharkhand Bandh called by Jharkhand Kurmi Sangharsh Morcha to avoid any untoward incident.

“To maintain peace at the dharna place at Morhabadi, CCTV cameras are being installed all around it to keep a close vigil on their activities. It will be installed at all strategic locations so that they get covered from all sides,” said SP City Aman Kumar. In addition to that, ambulance and fire tenders will also be kept reserved to deal with any untoward situations, he added.

A meeting was called with their leaders who have claimed that more than 5000 para teachers will be reaching here to the State Capital on Monday from all parts of State and will sit on dharna at Morhabadi after staging a ‘ghero’ of  Chief Minister’s House.

“Though they have ensured to stage the ‘gherao’ peacefully, but the district administration will be fully prepared to deal with any law and order situation,” said the SP.

To press regularization of their service, similar salary for similar jobs and other demands , para teachers from all over the State have organized a foot march which will reached to the State Capital on Monday and will sit gherao CM house if their demands will not be met by the State Government.

Meanwhile, preparations for the day long banch called by Jharkhand Kurmi Mahasabha demanding ST status for them on the same day was also being done by the Police.“Proper deployment of force will also be done on all strategic locations and nobody will be allowed to take law and order in his hands. Those who try to damage the public property and found indulged in activities like ransacking or stone pelting will be dealt strictly,” added the SP.

A torch light procession was organized in Ranchi from Jaipal Singh Stadium to Albert Ekka Chowk on Saturday ahead of Jharkhand Bandh which was participated by hundreds of the Kurmi Sangharsh Morcha activists.
