Chelsea news: Southampton goal should have counted in FA Cup semi-final - Frank Lampard
SOUTHAMPTON had a goal wrongly disallowed at 1-0 in today’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea.

That is according to BT Sport pundit and Chelsea’s all-time top goalscorer Frank Lampard.
Olivier Giroud gave the Blues the lead with a stunning solo effort straight after half time.
Southampton thought they had equalised with 15 minutes remaining through top-scorer Charlie Austin.
But referee Martin Atkinson deemed Austin to have fouled Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
It’s not a foul, it should have been a goal for Southampton
Lampard put aside his Chelsea bias and said it was the wrong decision from Atkinson.
“No it wasn’t a foul as far as I’m concerned,” he said.
“What I was interested to hear was Graham Poll say that you can’t touch the goalkeeper in the six-yard box.
“You might as well give them a VIP rope and a bouncer!

“If nobody can go in there and compete against them, you can’t protect them that much.
“I don’t get it, it’s not a foul, it should have been a goal for Southampton.”
Substituted Alvaro Morata doubled Chelsea’s lead to send them through to the final, where they will face Manchester United.
