Crorepati OPHWC Assistant Project Manager held

Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation Limited (OPHWC), Bhubaneswar Assistant Project Manager Bikram Keshari Malla was arrested by the Vigilance police on Saturday for possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

His houses at Lingaraj Vihar, Pokhariput in Bhubaneswar, two-storied building at Subas Nagar, Hatipathar lane in Rayagada district and native Malikeswarpur village in Kendrapada district, office chamber at Bhubaneswar and rented house of a relative located at Lingaraj Vihar, Pokhariput in Bhubaneswar had been searched simultaneously on March 31, 2017.

In course of search and inventory, Malla was found in possession of disproportionate assets to the tune of `1, 21, 54,887 which is 302 per cent of his total income from known sources.

He was forwarded to court, which remanded him to judicial custody till May 4, 2018.
