The clay court king is asserting his authority on the orange surface yet again, and looks a good bet to win the Monte Carlo Masters later today.
Nadal has already seen off Aljaz Bedene, Karen Khachanov, Dominic Thiem and Grigor Dimitrov in the Monaco sunshine this week.
And the Spaniard just has to beat Kei Nishikori on Sunday to retain his crown.
But in beating Dimitrov in the final four, Nadal has equalled a record of his long-term rival Federer.

The victory means Nadal will play his 47th Masters 1000 final today, which is as same number as Federer, who had became the outright leader at the Indian Wells Masters in March.
And a win in Monte Carlo today would be the 31-year-old's 31st Masters 1000 final win, meaning he would overtake Djokovic, who has won 30 of his 44 finals.
Federer has won 27 finals, losing his other 20.

But the aforementioned trio are well clear of other tennis greats.
Andre Agassi only made it to 22 Masters finals, while Andy Murray has currently reached 21.
Nadal's clash against Nishikori gets underway at 1.30pm UK time.
