OnePlus CEO shares first official OnePlus 6 images, and they look BREATHTAKING
ONEPLUS CEO Pete Lau has shared the first official images of the OnePlus 6 – and they look phenomenal.
OnePlus has published the first official OnePlus 6 images.
CEO Pete Lau shared high-resolution 16MP camera samples taken by the next-generation flagship on Chinese microblogging platform, Weibo.
EXIF data extracted from the images shared by Lau confirm the resolution of the rear camera.
The photographs showcase the OnePlus 6’s performance in bright daylight, and reveal a remarkable amount of detail and natural-looking colours.
If these images are typical of those taken with the OnePlus 6, it looks to be a solid upgrade over the OnePlus 5T.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has also shared a portrait shot of tulips, which shows the OnePlus 6’s ability to add a bokeh effect to the background, highlighting the subject of the photo.

This seemingly confirms OnePlus 6 will sport a dual-camera system, like its predecessor.
By using depth data from the secondary telephoto lens, OnePlus is able to separate the subject from the background of the photo and add a natural-looking blur.
It’s a little too early to get into technical details, but initial impressions from OnePlus 6 look promising.
OnePlus has slowly been ramping up the rhetoric around its new smartphone.

OnePlus has also teased that this will be its first phone to incorporate waterproofing. It'll be powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC, accompanied by 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
Earlier this month, GizmoChina claimed OnePlus 6 would be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants.
