Four people were killed and two others wounded when a gunman opened fire at a Waffle House outside Nashville around 3:25 a.m. CT Sunday, according to police.
The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department said the gunman was a white male with short hair, who was nude and fled on foot after the shooting at a Waffle House in Antioch, Tenn., which is part of the Nashville metropolitan region. Police in a tweet later identified a person of interest in the shooting, Travis Reinking, a 29-year old from Morton, Ill, who is the registered owner of the vehicle that the gunman arrived in.
Over six hours after the shooting, police continued to search for the gunman. Police said that a man believed to be Travis Reinking was last seen in a wooded area near an apartment complex not far from the Waffle House. Police said that man was wearing black pants and no shirt.
Of the four fatalities, three died at the scene and one later at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The two wounded victims are still undergoing treatment at the hospital, police said.
