Congress dares MLC Dinesh to win election on BJP ticket

Uttar Pradesh Congress challenged MLC Dinesh Pratap Singh, who hopped over to the BJP on Saturday, to resign from the Council and contest election on a BJP ticket.

“After getting everything from the Congress including the MLC’s post, if Dinesh Pratap Singh is claiming that the party did nothing for him or his family, then he and his family members must resign and contest election on BJP tickets,” asserted Congress spokesman, Zeeshan Haider.

Haider was reacting to the Congress MLC leaving the party and joining BJP in presence of party president Amit Shah at Rae Bareli on Saturday afternoon.

Haider claimed that Singh made tall claims of showing his strength in Shah’s rally but the truth of his support in the constituency was exposed as just a few hundred persons were seen attending the BJP rally and most of the seats were vacant.

The Congress spokesman also targeted Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. “Shah should appologise for hurting public sentiments claiming that UP was known for goons and gangsters before the BJP took over in 2017,” said Haider.

Without taking names, he also alleged that a person who himself had a criminal past always spoke of goons and gangsters.

The spokesman also took a dig at Yogi claiming that the CM made tall claims of providing 24-hour power supply but the truth was that power failed during Yogi’s function in Amethi on Saturday afternoon.

Haider said that the people of Amethi and Rae Bareli were like family to the Gandhi family and they would teach a befitting lesson to Shah, Yogi and Dinesh Pratap Singh by defeating BJP candidates in 2019 Parliament polls.
