GREATER NOIDA: A 35-year-old man’s body was found
hanging from a tree in a park in Sector Beta 1 in
Greater Noida on Saturday morning. He has been identified as
Sudhir Tiwari, an original resident of Deoria district.
Brajesh Verma, SHO, Kasna police station, quoting his family said that Tiwari was an alcoholic.
He got married 15 years ago and has a 10-year-old daughter. However, due to his excessive drinking, his wife moved out of their house and shifted to her sister’s place in Beta 1 three months ago.
Tiwari had also shifted to Greater Noida and started working as a helper in a private company.
On Friday night, he had visited the house and left with Rs 100. In the morning, some people found him hanging from a tree.
A police team reached the spot and informed his family members. Police said it seems the man committed suicide. “The victim’s family members have not filed any complaint. They have decided against any action in the matter,” said an officer.
The body was handed over to his family members after postmortem.
