YSRCP to stage protest in Vizag on April 30

The YSR Congress Party has decided to expose Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s “politics of deceit” on the Special Category Status by observing April 30 as ‘Betrayal Day’ in Visakhapatnam.

Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is touring Krishna district as part of Praja Sankalpa Yatra, convened a meeting with party MPs who had resigned to their post recently and regional coordinators at Agiripally camp in Nuzvid constituency on Sunday. The meeting resolved to “unmask” Mr. Naidu who, Mr. Reddy said was “taking people of the State for a ride on SCS.”

After the meeting, leaders Dharmana Prasada Rao and Botcha Satyanarayana told the media that the MPs, RS members, MLAs, and MLCs, would take part in the 12-hour-long deeksha in Visakhapatnam.

Mr. Reddy would continue his walkathon on April 30. Those participating in the yatra would sport black badges and display black flags.
