Woman stabbed 'multiple times' at inner Sydney unit block

Two people were arrested after a woman was stabbed at a Redfern unit block in the early hours of Sunday.

Police said the woman, 35, had suffered multiple stab wounds when emergency serves were called to the Walker Street block shortly after midnight.

She was treated at the scene and taken to hospital, where she was in a stable condition.

Police said her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

An injured man, 40, is also being treated in hospital.

Officers arrested a man and woman near the unit.

They have been taken to Redfern police station as officers continue to investigate.
