Tiwari demands apology from Rahul, Kejriwal

The Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded a public apology from Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the wake of Supreme Court's order rejecting pleas to probe judge Loya's death case.

Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari alleged that the whole campaign was to tarnish the image of BJP president Amit Shah. Tewari said several leaders, including Rahul and Kejriwal, were at the forefront of attacking the BJP and "dragging" the name of its national president in the case. "Rahul Gandhi, if he believes in judiciary, should now tender a public apology. Arvind Kejriwal should also apologise," Tiwari said while addressing the media on Thursday.

After the court's observation that judge Loya died a natural death, it is clear that the political parties, including the Congress and the AAP, were running a "politically motivated" campaign to "tarnish" the image of Amit Shah, he alleged. Supreme Court's judgment has come as victory of truth and vindication of the BJP's stand, he added."The Supreme Court of India's comment that 'it seems that this PIL is not public interest litigation but a political interest litigation" and it vindicates BJP's stand that it was politically motivated.

"Lt Governor holding a meeting on CCTV issue in the major issue for the safety and security of women in the national capital but for AAP it is political agenda. Kejriwal who made tall promises forgot after assuming power, Tiwari alleged when asked about Kejriwal's attack on the Lt Governor.  He further said that Manish Sisodia's reaction on Lt Governor taking lead in the matter is, a reflection of his political desperation.
