Cape Town - Earlier in April, Wheels24 released the top "dream cars" in South Africa based on Naamsa sales. The Africa Wealth Report by AfriAsia Bank, reveals the most desirable vehicles in South Africa.

Despite luxury car sales being down in 2017 compared to year-on-year sales in 2016, luxury SUV numbers are on a significant rise and are "especially popular with Africa's super-rich", says AfriaAsia Bank.

Who are the super rich? The report defines these individuals as those with wealth of $1-million (R12m) or more. "Wealth" is defined as the net assets of a person. It includes all their assets (property, cash, equities, business interests) less any liabilities.

We've listed the most popular SUVs, brands, sports cars and even included the most sought after vintage vehicles, as listed by the report, later in this article.

According to the report, Porsche was the top-selling luxury brand and its Cayenne Turbo model also grabbed the title of most popular SUV among millionaires.
