17 Haryana farmers booked by police in UP

Seventeen farmers from have been booked by police in western Uttar Pradesh's district for forcibly taking away the crop cultivated on a disputed land.

The disputed farming field is close to the inter-state boundary between the two states and farmers from the two states claim ownership over the land in Mavi village near Kairana town.

The farmers allegedly took away the crop yesterday and a case has been registered against them, said.

Following the incident, tension prevailed in the village.
