Let The Sunshine In review: A wry, anguished and very French drama
A RADIANT Juliette Binoche is the heart and soul of Let The Sunshine In, a wry, anguished and very French drama.
CURIOSA FILMS
Artist Isabelle (Binoche) is divorced and convinced that her love life lies in the past.
She seems to sabotage any possibility of a lasting relationship by jumping headlong into a sequence of affairs which quickly fizzle out and over the course of the film she is involved with boorish banker Vincent (Xavier Beauvois), pretentious actor (Nicolas Duvauchelle), her ex-husband François (Laurent Grévill) and a mysterious stranger (Paul Blain) whom she meets in a country pub.
A modest film but Binoche's journey from hope to despair keeps you engrossed.
