10-year-old raped, head smashed with stone during brother's wedding in Chhattisgarh

In a horrific incident reported from a Chhattisgarh village, a 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered during her brother's wedding function on Wednesday night.

The girl was found lying dead in a drain the next morning in the Kabirdham district, following which a young man, identified as Uttam Sahu (25) was arrested.

Reportedly, Sahu has admitted of raping and subsequently killing the girl by hitting her head with a heavy stone on Wednesday.

Police said Sahu is a resident of Rehauta village in Kunda police station area and went to the village as part of the marriage procession.
