A fugitive grandmother accused of killing two was caught after a member of the public reported a tip to law enforcement.

Lois Ann Riess was not surprised when she was caught, said Deputy U.S. Marshal John Kinsey.

"Lois was sitting at a bar drinking, having a good time," when marshals arrived at the restaurant on South Padre Island and apprehended her, he said.

The 56-year-old will be tried in state court, Kinsey said.

It's unclear whether she will face charges in Minnesota first or be brought to Florida where she could potentially face the death penalty.

"She can't kill again," said Lee County Undersheriff Carmine Marceno.

Riess is accused of killing her husband David in their Blooming Prairie home and then fleeing to Florida where authorities say she killed again.

Pamela Hutchinson was found at a Fort Myers Beach timeshare.
