Premier League transfer news and rumours

Paul Pogba: Manchester United to PSG/Juventus

Paul Pogba’s relationship with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is at “breaking point”, the Daily Mail reports, and it looks likely that the midfielder is heading for the Old Trafford exit.

Pogba signed from Juventus for £89m two years ago and the Mail says that United will demand bids of £140m from clubs interested in buying the France international.

According to ESPN French giants Paris Saint-Germain have made contact with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola about a potential move. And there has also been recent speculation about Pogba returning to Juventus.

That move has more or less been ruled out though by Juve CEO Giuseppe Marotta. Quoted by the Manchester Evening News, Marotta told Mediaset Premium: “Personally, I don’t believe in returns, but there are exceptions.”

Riyad Mahrez: Leicester City to Manchester City

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez is once again a transfer target for Manchester City. The Premier League champions failed to sign the Algerian during the January transfer window, but boss Pep Guardiola is “plotting a £65m swoop” for the 27-year-old this summer. (The Sun

Real’s move for Hazard depends on Bale future

A Real Madrid bid for Chelsea star Eden Hazard could depend on Gareth Bale’s future at the La Liga giants. It’s reported that Zinedine Zidane’s “pursuit” of Hazard can only happen “if they sell Bale”. (Daily Mail)

Richarlison: Watford to Manchester United

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has identified Watford ace Richarlison as a “key summer target”. United are lining up a £40m bid for the Brazilian, but could face competition from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. (Daily Mail

Jonny Evans: West Brom to Manchester City/Arsenal

West Brom defender Jonny Evans could “spark one of the biggest transfer scrambles” in Premier League history this summer. After West Brom’s relegation, Evans is available for a cut-price £3m because of a release clause in his current contract. Interested clubs include Manchester City and Arsenal. (Daily Mail)

Matthijs de Ligt: Ajax to Manchester City

Another central defender on City’s radar is Ajax teenage star Matthijs de Ligt. The 18-year-old Dutch international has also been linked with Tottenham and Arsenal. (The Daily Telegraph)

Joe Hart: Manchester City to West Ham United

West Ham could make Joe Hart’s loan deal permanent at the end of the season. The England goalkeeper is near the end of a season-long loan and the Hammers are “interested in holding onto him”. (Daily Mirror)

Allardyce seeks Everton clarity after survey ‘mistake’

Under-fire Everton boss Sam Allardyce is seeking clarity from the club’s board about his future after fans were sent a survey to “rate his managerial ability”. Speaking about the survey, Allardyce said: “The director of marketing and communications has clearly slipped up. From my point of view and the football side point of view it was a big mistake. I think it has allowed you to write some beautiful headlines. He does not have a great understanding of football and how football works.” (The Times)
