Cape Town – Comedy, animation, politics and horror - there’s something for everyone at cinemas this weekend.

John Cena shakes of his wrestling persona to play an overprotective dad, Liam Neeson plays the real-life Deep Throat in a political biopic, Tom Hiddleston voices a caveman and horror The Strangers gets a second outing 10 years later.

Here are the 4 new films releasing in SA:

Movie: Mark Felt: The Man Who Took Down the White House

Our rating: 2/5

Short review: A boring and uninspired take on a timely and extraordinary story, Mark Felt: The Man Who Took Down the White House is in an early running for most disappointing film of the year.

Movie: Early Man

Our rating: 2/5

Short review: Arguably Aardman's weakest film to date, Early Man will work for the really young and most likely not for anyone else.
