Anna "Frances" Ortega Fusco, 88, of Koppel, surrounded by her family, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Born on December 8, 1929, in Koppel, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Castaldo) Ortega. Frances was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish, Ellwood City, and formerly a member of Queen of Heaven Church, Koppel, where she was a member and past President of the Altar Society, the Rosary Society, and a member of the Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Koppel Homemakers Club and Bunco Club. She enjoyed cooking for her family, and topped meals off with homemade pies, cakes, cookies and doughnuts. Frances had a big heart and was always willing to help anybody in need. She will be remembered for her concerning voice, tender touch, and quiet ways. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Nicholas Fusco; a brother, Philip Ortega, and a brother-in-law, Anthony Santia. She is survived by her loving daughters and their spouses, Carol and John Todorich of Ellwood City, Deborah and John Mohr of North Sewickley Twp., and Toni Ann and Donnie Gishbaugher of Koppel; five grandchildren, Todd (Melissa) Todorich, Nicole (Joseph) Chewning, Frank Todorich, Stephanie (Zack) Kelosky, and Brian (Lindsay) Mohr; seven great-grandchildren, Patrick Chewning, Spencer and Evelyn Rose Todorich, Gabriel, Alexander, and Elise Kelosky, and Carson Mohr, and her sister, Antionette Santia. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. in the GABAUER-MATTER FUNERAL HOME, 3500 Third Ave., Koppel, gabauerfamily funeralhomes.com, where prayers will be held on Saturday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church. Father Mark Thomas will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Williamsburg Mausoleum of Beaver Falls Cemetery, Chippewa Twp.
