Indore: The students of Modern Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) continued demonstration at Regal Square for the second day on Wednesday. Though the college administration attempted to pacify students, they demanded a permanent solution.
One of the aggrieved students Sourabh Mandloi said, “College administration has given us offer to conduct classes in Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Science for few months. We rejected the proposal as SAIMS has limited capacity of seats and faculty.” “We request the government and district administration to take over college for saving future of 140 students,” Mandloi said.
Meanwhile, ABVP’s Virendra Singh Solanki said that they will try to meet union health minister JP Nadda and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and demand solution during their visit to city on Thursday. Students of MIMS have been protesting against the college administration for over a month and they sat on demonstartion ar Regal Square on Tuesday for their demands.
Students have been protesting against college administration as no classed have been conducted for six months and the facilities in the colleges are not up to the mark. College staff is also on strike since November as they are not getting salary.
