The Indo-Israel relationship has reached new heights in the last few years and the reciprocal visit of Prime Ministers of both the countries has been a contributing factor, the country’s envoy on Wednesday said.

Ambassador of Israel to India, Daniel Carmon said this during an event here to mark Israel’s 70th Independence Day.

Union Minister RK Singh was the chief guest on the occasion and ambassadors of several countries, senior diplomats and other dignitaries also attended the event.

“As a nation and as an individual, Israel has grown and we want to continue to move in that direction, meeting global and local challenges,” Carmon said.

“We want to continue to move towards a safe, secure, free and vibrant society living side by side with our neighbours,” he said.
