LeBron James: Cavs star in SECRET agreement with Tyronn Lue heading into free agency
LEBRON JAMES has reportedly held secret talks with Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue in which the pair have agreed this current team aren’t good enough to win the NBA title.
James was at his stupendous best for the Cavaliers last night, finishing with 46 points, 12 rebounds and five assists to help tie the series against the Indiana Pacers.
He scored Cleveland’s first 16 points of the game with his team-mates struggling once again.
The rest of his team averaged below 50 per cent from the field but it was James who ensured the series against Indiana will at least head into a Game 5.
Indiana were 15 points down after the first quarter but came back into it in the latter stages with Victor Oladipo missing a clean look from beyond the arc to tie the game with just one minute left.
James admitted after the game that Cleveland still need to vastly improve if they hope to go far in the playoffs.
But Colin Cowherd claims James has already held conversations with Lue conceding this group isn’t good enough.
“I was told last night by somebody who I trust and is LeBron’s circle of influence that Ty Lue and LeBron you can’t win a championship with this group,” he said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
“They know Philadelphia has more good young players and more talent and there is concern in Cleveland because LeBron wants to give Cleveland the first option to keep him but LeBron has told team-mates and people close to him like J.R. Smith that this roster is bad.

“He doesn’t have one great young player. Philadelphia have a couple; Boston have a couple; Houston’s got a couple; Golden State’s got several; Minnesota’s got a couple; Milwaukee’s got a couple."
He added: “LeBron has told people, he’s not committing. He’ll give them a chance but he knows has has no shot to win a title.
“LeBron knows this is not a championship-winning team. Ty Lue knows this is not a championship-winning team. They’re in a desperate search to get the next great young player and every other good team has at least two young stars.
“It’s not good in Cleveland. LeBron has a history. He’s got an ejection seat button.”
