Sleuths of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) grilled Legislator Kuldeep Singh Sengar’s brother Atul Singh Sengar and four of his accomplices involved in the killing of rape victim’s father after taking them on police custody remand on Wednesday morning.

A six member special Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) team from New Delhi also reached Unnao on Wednesday and visited the MLA’s residence to carry out scientific investigation and collect evidences to nail down the MLA and his other henchmen including brother. Sources said that the CFSL team accompanied by the CBI members also took the help of victim to recreate the crime scene which would facilitate them to collect vital evidences. The team would also visit the Unnao Jail where the rape victim’s father was lodged and allegedly beaten by policemen leading to his death.

Sources said that the CBI team which took Kuldeep’s brother Atul Singh Sengar and four of his henchmen-- Sonu Singh, Shailu, Vinit and Babua, on remand grilled them to extract the involvement of the MLA in the killing. They also produced an audio tape and video recording pointing towards Kuldeep’s role,  that he was involved in the `conspiracy’ to eliminate girl’s family members if she would not withdraw case. All the five accused were taken on four days custody remand by the CBI team on Wednesday morning.

Sources further said that the MLA will found himself in more trouble as the probe agency set to include his name in the killing of the rape victim’s father. "To ensure that Sengar did not take advantage of being released on bail in case of the POCSO Act as the rape victim was found not to be a minor at the time of incident, the CBI team would soon add MLA’s name as a co-accused in the murder case”, sources in the CBI confirmed. The CBI will also seek permission to conduct either narco analysis or at least, polygraphy test on both Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his reported woman associate Shashi Singh.
