Tells ROs and AROs to visit and review the status of polling stations

Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep has instructed officers to check all vehicles to avoid violations of the model code of conduct. He gave this instruction in his first video conference with returning officers, assistant returning officers and sector officers on Wednesday. The officer took charge as DC of Hassan on Tuesday evening.

β€œAll government vehicles, including the one belonging to the DC, should go through the checking process,” Mr. Randeep said. He appealed to the officers to cooperate with the staff at check-posts.

The DC told Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers to visit and review the status of polling stations. He directed the officers to depute CRPF men to check-posts in Holenarasipur constituency, which has been considered sensitive in terms of expenditure for the campaign. He also told officers to work without bias adding that any wrongdoing by them would be dealt with seriously.

Superintendent of Police R.K. Shahapurwad asked the officers to be vigilant during processions by candidates while filing nomination papers. The Returning Officers have to be careful while allowing time for candidates for processions. Additional DC B.R. Poornima, Additional SP Jyothi Vaidyanathan and others were present.
