NIA Special Court judge Ravinder Reddy resumes work

NIA Special Court judge K. Ravinder Reddy, whose resignation came within hours of delivering the verdict in the Mecca masjid Blast case, resumed charge on Thursday. The judge came to the Fourth Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge and took up the regular court work.

Sources said his resignation was yet to be accepted. The resignation was sent to the High Court Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan. Apparently, no decision has been taken and the matter was still under consideration.

“The judge had come to the court and is attending to the regular matters of giving dates for different cases,” a lawyer in the court said.
