VARANASI: A local NGO
Vishal Bharat Sansthan (VBS) for the marriage of its member has circulated a unique wedding invitation card with the images of bride and groom imposed on BJP’s symbol of lotus flower. The card also displays the images of
Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and Hindu deities Ganesha, Rama and Shiva. It also has slogans like ‘Kashi mein Bhole Shankar ka Trishul, Desh mein Kamal ka phool’ and ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
The marriage of a VBS member Atma Prakash Bharatvanshi, a law graduate from
Banaras Hindu University (BHU), will be solemnised with Priya Raghuvanshi, a mass communication student of BHU, on May 1. The marriage function will be organised by the VBS at a lawn in Nadesar area. The wedding card claims that the would-be-couple will be blessed by senior RSS functionary
Indresh Kumar, Mahant Balak Das of Patalpuri Math, Mahant Shanbhu Devacharya of Vidya Math Ayodhya and many others. The wedding card also carries religious symbols of Hindu, Islam, Sikh and Christian communities.
“Basic idea behind such wedding card is to popularise PM’s work and message in his own constituency,” said the VBS founder president and assistant professor of History at BHU Dr. Rajiv Srivastava. Besides, it is also aimed to spread a message of simple and dowry-less marriage in the society, he said adding that the organisation decided to hold marriage ceremony of its member with own resources.
