Three held for Saketri Temple robbery

In a breakthrough Chandigarh Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three burglars who allegedly committed burglary in different temples of Chandigarh and Saketri, Panchkula.

Police identified the accused as Resham Singh (24) resident of UttaraKhand, Harjeet Singh (30) and Manbeer Singh (28) booth from Merut in UP. They were arrested from Delhi.

The three accused have been arrested while they were in possession of stolen articles of S.D. Mandir Sector-27. All the stolen articles ---five Mukut of Silver, one snake Silver, one base of Shivling Silver, one Jhallar of Shivling were recovered from their possession.

Police said that on questioning, the accused admitted their involvement in several other burglary incident in temples in and around Chandigarh.
