AHMEDABAD: Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended five Pakistani fishing boats during the mega search operations conducted since last three days from creek area of Kutch. BSF sources confirmed that they have nabbed one 17-year-old Pakistani fisherman, Abdul Majid who is a resident of bordering Tattha district of Pakistan.
Senior BSF officials said one of the Pakistani boats capsized in the sea while being chased by the BSF patrol party. “The crew members fled from the boat to the Pakistani side of the waters. We could not toe the boat back due to bad weather, but we have dismantled its engine” added a senior BSF official.

BSF officials said the search operation will continue in the coming days as during this time of the year Pakistani fishermen venture into Indian Waters in search of good catch.

“We never know the infiltrators could be spies or terrorist in guise of fishermen. We at present are interrogating the apprehended fishermen. He will be handed over to the local police once our investigation is over” said a senior BSF official.
