Ruth G. Davis, 96, formerly of Rochester Twp. and Beaver, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, in Zelienople Lutheran Senior Life. Born October 31, 1921, in Rochester, a daughter of the late John A. Sr. and Leora (Goll) Grant, she was a retired secretary with the former B&W Corp., Beaver Falls. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rochester, where she had been a former Sunday school teacher and co-ed coordinator. She was a 1939 graduate of Rochester High School and a graduate of the Garfield Business Institute, Beaver Falls. A founding member of the former ROHO, she was a member of the Rochester Children's Aide Society and the Gertrude Barrett Service Group of Beaver. She was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Davis, in 2005; a brother, John A. Grant Jr., in 1990; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Grant, in 2009, and a brother-in-law, David McElhaney, in 2007. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane D. Zewe and her husband Bruce, Wexford, and Sue Davis-Haas and her husband Richard, Reading, Pa.; a granddaughter, Caitlin Norton and her husband Matthew, Fairfax, Va.; a great-grandson, Henry Norton; a sister, Joan (Grant) McElhaney, Rochester Twp., and two nieces. As per Ruth's wishes, there will be no viewing and a private service only. Her pastor, Rev. Gregory S. Clagg, will officiate.
