The Dindoshi Police have solved a robbery case in four days. The robbery took place on Saturday in which a senior citizen was robbed by her house help and a junior Bhojpuri film artist. The house help and Bhojpuri film artiste have both been arrested by the police.
According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the accused has been identified as Roshan Pandey alias Omkar (junior Bhojpuri film artist) and Prakash Kamat (house help). Omkar used to stay in Kalyan and wanted to buy a flat near Mumbai, and therefore he and Prakash hatched the plan of robbery. The robbery took place at the house of Shashidevi Omprakash Changoiwala, 76, a resident of Gokuldhan Society on Krushna Vatika Road, Goregoan East on Saturday.
The robbers fled away with jewellery and cash worth Rs 15 lakh of the 76-year-old. At the time of the robbery, they were wearing masks and tied her (Shashidevi) with ropes. The later registered a case and started investigating the case. During the investigation they learned that woman used to stay alone, but one house help used to come to her house. While interrogating Prakash Kamat (house help), initially he refused his hand in the robbery, but after sustained interrogation, he accepted that he had carried out the robbery with the help of his friend Roshan Pandey alias Omkar. The police have recovered 80 percent of the valuables.
