Flora Marie Lise Ludwico Formerly of Hopewell Township Flora Marie (Lise) Ludwico, 96, formerly of Hopewell Twp., passed away on April 3, 2018, at Amberwood Gardens Skilled Nursing Facility in San Jose, California. Born December 24, 1921, in West Aliquippa, Pa., she was the daughter of Andy and Mary (Palazzi) Lise. Flora grew up in West Aliquippa where she met and married her loving husband, Tony Ludwico, on June 19, 1941. Flora and Tony raised two sons, Eugene and Ronald, in West Aliquippa and later on Plan 12, Aliquippa. Flora worked many years at Aliquippa Hospital and in the lunch room at New Sheffield School. Flora loved working with the children. Flora was a beautiful, strong woman and was loved by everyone who knew her. Flora left her home on Plan 12 in 1996 to be with her sons in San Jose, Calif., where she resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Peggy, before moving to Amberwood Gardens in 2015. Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, in December 1983; her parents, Andy and Mary Lise; her brothers, William Lise and James Lise, and sisters, Anne Rubino and Josephine George. Flora is survived by her sons, Eugene and Peggy (Glovier) Ludwico, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Ronald and Shirley (Dettling) Ludwico, Lincoln, Calif.; grandchildren, David and Rhonda Ludwico, Rick and Odine Ludwico, and Kristina and Jacob Ross; great-grandchildren, James and Sophie Ludwico and Brady and Payton Ross; brother, Ralph Lise of Pittsburgh; sisters, Elizabeth Hulick of Ellwood City, Pa., and Philomena Mantle of Phoenix, Ariz., and many loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday, April 20, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. in TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, www.tatalovichfuneralhome.com. Family and friends will meet Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Hopewell Twp., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Twp. In lieu of flowers, please send remembrance gifts to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
