Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched its latest flagship smartphone Honor 10 in China. The phone was launched at an event held in Shanghai on Thursday. The phone’s design is very similar to the recently launched Huawei P20 and will be priced at CNY 2,599 (approx Rs 27,500) for the 6GB/64GB variant and CNY 2,999 ((approx Rs 31,500) for the 6GB/128GB variant.
The phone has been branded as AI 2.0-powered smartphone and will be soon made available for purchase globally. The phone is available in Black, Grey, Mirage Purple and Mirage Blue variants and keeps with the latest design trend of an iPhone X-like notch at the front.
Display and Dimensions
Honor 10 comes with a 5.84-inch, full-HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2280 pixels and features a 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone is built around an aluminium frame with a glass front and back and has dimensions of 149.6x71.2x7.7mm. As mentioned earlier, the phone holds a striking resemblance to the recently launched Huawei P20 and weighs 153 grams.

Hardware and OS
The phone runs on Huawei’s EMUI 8.1 OS, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone is powered by an octa-core Huawei 970 processor. The phone comes in two configurations — 6GB RAM, 64 GB internal memory version and 6GB, 128GB memory version. Sadly, the phone does not support memory expansion.
Camera
Coming to the camera, the phone sports a dual-rear camera setup with 16MP + 24MP primary sensors with an aperture rate of f/1.8. The primary camera is capable of capturing 4K videos at 30fps. The phone sports a 24MP front camera for selfies. The company has branded Honor 10’s rear camera as an ‘AI camera’ with AI 2.0 technology which enhances the quality of the images captured. AI 2.0 technology also assists the front camera with more advanced face-detection along with better selfie images.
Battery and other features
Honor 10 is powered by a 3,400 mAh which supports quick charging technology. The company claims the phone is capable of gaining 50 per cent charge in 25 minutes. The phone supports 7-channel audio with its Hi-Fi 7-channel audio chip. The phone retain 3.5mm audio jack along with other features such as Type-C connector, Bluetooth 4.2, front-mounted fingerprint sensor, Corning Gorilla Glass screen protection etc.
