Distributes competitive exam study materials to college students

The Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Ltd (NLCIL) has opened eight additional classrooms and a seminar hall for the Jawahar Science College and three classrooms and a hall for NMJ Matriculation School.

The new classrooms and seminar hall for Jawahar Science College was constructed at a cost of ₹ 3.62 crore while the facilties for NMJ school was provided at a cost of ₹41 lakh.

Inaugurating the facilities, Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, NLCIL underscored the thrust on education in the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and pointed to significant efforts to address infrastructure shortfalls in and around schools of Neyveli.

The CMD and directors of NLCIL distributed skill development material, which includes competitive exam study materials to college students who underwent coaching classes organised by NLCIL CSR Department for TNPSC and Banking exams.

Functional directors Rakesh Kumar, P. Selva Kumar and R. Vikraman besides senior executives, employees of NLCIL and school authorities participated.
