Rajkot: A woman was stabbed to death by her nephew and his friend in Tuna village of Anjar taluka on Wednesday night. Police identified the deceased as Gulbanu Khalifa (35) and the accused as Gulam Khalifa and Hanif Alia.
The murder was the result of an old enmity between Gulbanu and her nephew Gulam. “There was a marriage proposal between Gulbanu’s daughter and Gulam’s younger brother Ali Mohammed, which she had turned down. Harbouring a grudge against her Gulam and Hanif came at her house . “When she came out of her house, they stabbed her 21 times killing her on the spot,” an official from Anjar police station said. tnn
