DANBURY — Western Connecticut State University’s student-led marketing organization has been named the top small chapter of the American Marketing Association this school year

Ten members of the WCSU Western Marketing Association accepted the honor during the AMA’s 40th annual International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans earlier this month.

This year the WCSU group ranked as one of the top 15 performers among the AMA’s 382 active chapters, which include many organizations from much larger colleges.

For the past five years, the WCSU team has ranked in the top 10 percent of all AMA college chapters based on the association’s performance in professional development, social impact, planning, operations and external communications.
