THIS is the heartbreaking moment LeBron James learnt the news of the death of San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich’s wife Erin.
Cavs superstar James had led his side to a 100-97 victory over the Indiana Pacers as they evened the first-round Eastern Conference playoff series at one game apiece.
However, the win was quickly put into perspective after it was revealed Popovich’s wife had passed away.
And shortly after the Cavaliers’ win, James was made aware of Erin’s death during an on-court interview and he was lost for words as he tried to comprehend the news.
“S***,” James eventually said as he choked back tears.

“I’m a huge Pop fan, I love Pop. That’s such a tragedy.
“My best wishes go out to Pop and his family. That’s devastating news.
“The NBA family, we all stick together.
“I know we compete every night but when something like this happens it really puts things in perspective so I send my well wishes and my prayers up to the heavens above.”
James was not the only NBA star to offer his condolences to Popovich and his family.

Steve Nash, an eight-time NBA All-Star, tweeted: “Knowing Pop, it's fair to assume Erin Popovich was an absolute legend.
“My deepest sympathies to Pop and his daughters."
Warriors forward Kevin Durant said: “The whole NBA family is supporting him, got his back through it all. Feel so bad for Pop.”
While Golden State guard Shaun Livingston tweeted: “There is more to life than this game of basketball.”
