Six from Pune booked for fake foreign biz offer

The Govindpura police have booked six persons from Pune in Maharashtra for duping a Bhopal-based person of Rs 27 lakh in connection with facilitating project in Singapore in the year 2012

The victim Saurabh Kumar Agrawal was duped by six persons related with ALCOR Mergers And Acquisitions Pvt Ltd to the tune of Rs 27 lakh in the name of providing project in Singapore which never took place and accused refused to refund the money.

In his complaint the victim stated that he met one of the accused George Mathew who informed him that he could help in projects as they are related with company which deals in these kinds of works. On September 5, 2012 the accused entered into agreement with the victim which was a part of the fraud.

After failing to get money or project victim filed a case in the court and after hearing court instructed police to register case against the accused.

A case of fraud was registered against George Mathew, Thomas Mathew, Minakshi Gore, Eric Ellan, Kohen and Nihkil Deshpande.

Victim claimed that to gain confidence accused facilitated his talks with some foreigners during the process but after they received the money they stopped talking over phone and later when the victim contacted the office in Pune he found that the accused never worked with the company after which he filed case in the court. The police have registered a case under section 420 and 34 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Based on the details search for the accused has been started.
