2019 Jaguar XE 300 Sport Debuts With 295 HP

The Jaguar XE 300 Sport has made its official debut today, spearheading a mildly updated XE lineup for the 2019 model year.

The centerpiece of the 2019 Jaguar XE 300 Sport is the 295 hp Ingenium 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. The four-cylinder is up on power from the 242 hp 2.0-liter turbo currently found in the XE and bridges the gap between the entry-level XE and the380 hp supercharged V6 XE S. Jaguar says the XE 300 Sport will accelerate from 0-62 mph in 5.7s, which is a full second less than the regular 2.0-liter XE.

The XE 300 Sport also gets sporty-looking Dark Satin Grey exterior details, contrasting yellow interior stitching and various yellow 300 Sport badging and branding.

Jaguar debuted its new all-wheel drive sedan by pitting against speed skater and Olympic gold medalist Shaolin Sándor Liu. The Olympian can lap the ice track at the Flevonice Sports and Funpark in the Netherlands in 3 minutes and 3 seconds, which Jaguar was convinced the XE could beat. The car, which was being driven by Jaguar Stability Development Leader Sean Haughey, lapped the ice skating track in 3 minutes and 3 seconds – demonstrating the capability of Jag’s all-wheel-drive system and new 2.0-liter engine, it says. The XE 300 Sport trim is also available in the XF and XF Sportbrake. Like the XE, XF 300 Sport models also get sporty grey-colored exterior trim and yellow 300 Sport branding.

The 2019 Jaguar XE 300 Sport and the XF 300 Sport are available to order now.
