Ambedkar Jayanti celebrated in Mayurbhanj

The birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar was observed in different parts of Mayurbhanj district.

While the district level official function was organised here jointly by the District Information & Public Relations Department and the Baripada Municipality, several socio-cultural and students’ organisations, including the RSS and the ABVP also observed the occasion in a befitting manner.

The main official function here was attended by district Collector SK Meena, Mayrbhanj ZP President Sujata Murmu, Mayurbhanj Special Development Council Chairman Devasis Marandi and Baripada Municipality Chairperson Babaita Das,. The RSS programme was addressed by social activist Bharat Chra Hansdah and Prof Upendra Nath Majhi. The ABVP programmes were coordinated by Tanmay Pradhan, Sairanjan Lenka and Purusottam Nayak.
